Even though our footprint is still small, we are aware of our ecological, social and economic responsibility as a young company. A mission that is still being carried out in a small team today can have a significant impact on the environment, society, employees, partners and entire value chains tomorrow. Since AutLay was founded in 2019, we have advocated making a significant part of irrelevant and resource-intensive mass communication obsolete by using individual print advertising media. As a growing company, we now have the unique opportunity to anchor "sustainability" deeply in our DNA / corporate strategy right from the start and to leave a responsible footprint for future generations.

The urgency of the global climate crisis clearly shows the enormous responsibility that politics, society and companies have to drastically minimize their ecological footprint. Starting with the procurement of raw materials, through logistics and production, usage and recycling by the end consumer, there is a lot to be done to avoid, reduce and neutralize greenhouse gases along the entire value chain. But in addition to ecological challenges, we understand sustainability in terms of the "triple bottom line" approach. We also want to assume social responsibility and understand that only an economically healthy company can have an influence on the sustainable design of markets, business models and relationships. We believe that this requires a firm anchoring and control of sustainable corporate goals with in our strategy, continuous and transparent exchange with partners, and the self-image of a sustainable employer brand:

Our
climate protection project

Afforestation in Anlong (China)

Together with our partner ConClimate we are working on the analysis and reduction of our Co2e footprint using the cradle-to-grave approach. This includes many process levels, partners and variables. Since we are just at the beginning of our journey, we decided to set up climate-neutral products right from the start and to invest in climate protection projects where we cannot make any progress with avoidance, conversion and reduction.

Our VCS project supports the reforestation of native tree species in Guizhou province, China, which can reduce greenhouse gases. Since the reforested areas belong to the villagers, new jobs are created for the population. 60 percent of the newly created jobs are occupied by women. In addition, the project contributes to the preservation of biodiversity by improving soil and water protection.

Our joint commitment means that since February 2022 only climate-neutral print mailings have left our company.
